LIAR BY JUSTINE LARBALESTIER

Ok, this book is really getting good and creapy ! I cannot understand why Micah would climb through Zach's window, to be in his bedroom ! Zach is dead, I would be scared out of my mind. She picked up and smelled his clothing and was reading through his sports journal. I understand that she was in love with him, but i think that was a little bit extreme. She seems to be obsessed with him. Now, there is another student missing. Her name is Erin Moncaster, she was a freshman. Micah doesnt recall who she is, but learns that Zach could have been seeing her too. Now that makes her angry, and now she doesnt like Erin, a girl she doesnt even know, but because she might have been involved with Zach, she doesnt like her. But how can she not like her, Zach was Sarah's boyfriend, and she was seeing him. This book is already taking me on a rollercoaster ride. Everyone is showing fear, not knowing what's going to happen next, or who is going to come up missing, has spread fear throughout the school. The girls are talking about carrying pepper spray and the boys are talking about carrying knives. But Micah, for some reason, isnt afraid . Is she just tough or is she hiding something. Everyone took dna tests and shared their results in class except for a few people, and Micah was one of them. She keeps talking about the family illness, I guess we will know what that is in my next blog. See you next week.

LIAR BY JUSTINE LARBALESTIER

I am going to begin this blog by talking about Tayshawn and that he really did not know a lot about death. The teacher Yayeko Shoji, talked about death and how the body decomposes. It really grossed all the students out, but poor Tayshawn just did not know how or what really happens when you die. But after Ms. Shoji talked about it and broke it down , piece by piece not only did Tayshawn understand, but so did I ! Well, enough about that, let's get back to Micah. I tell you, if lying could get her rich, Donald Trump would have nothing on her ! During class one day, the police were at the school interviewing all of the seniors, and it became Micah's turn. Now, we all know that Micah and Zach were secretly seing each other, or at least they thought noone knew, the police took her to the Art room to question her. They had Ms. Shoji there as supervision for the seniors that they questioned. When the police asked Micah if she knew Zach, she said no. Now why would she say she did not know him if she had nothing to hide? She claimed she only knew him from the classes they had together. Now i don't know about you, but that makes me very suspicious of her. If the police are questioning all of the seniors, does she not think that someone might tip off the police that she and Zach were sneaking around with each other after school ? You know, someone like Brandon? Well, i will continue to keep you posted each week, because this book is very interesting now that i got the hang of it. I must not forget that Micah lead everyone to believe that her dad was an arms dealer! The lies just keep coming and growning. Like the old saying says, :Oh what a web we do weave " ! So , i will keep you informed on how everything turns out, see ya next time .

LIAR BY JUSTINE LARBALESTIER

In my last blog i said that i was confused when i was trying to read this book, well, i have a better understanding of this book now. I just could not believe that everyone thought Micah was a boy. Just because her name was Micah, the teacher just assummed she was a boy. I was kind of surprised that Micah played basketball with the boys and noone knew she was girl ! Micah kept up the charade that she was a boy because she was getting attention and she actually felt comfortable being a boy. But she laughed out loud one day and Sarah heard her and exposed her to the rest of the students." You are a girl" Sarah said, and everyone approached Micah and then they knew, yes, this is a girl. Oh well, so much for playing basketball with the boys, because they will never treat her like a boy now. Back to the present, they announced that Zach had been found dead. Brandon points out that Micah was Zach's outside girlfriend, and that Sarah was Zach's at school girlfriend. Sarah keeps asking Micah is that true, but Micah denies it, but eventually, Sarah knows it was true. No one knew about Micah and Zach, at least thats what they thought, but Brandon knew, he had seen them in the park, running, playing, and kissing as if no one else existed. The question is, who killed Zach and why. We will find out once we get through the web of lies and truth. Until next time, i promise to have more on Micah, lie or truth.

LIAR

Today , i am writting about how i feel about what i have read so far in this book. To tell you the truth, i am confused ! I am not going to comment on specifics in the book. I am only going to talk about my feelings about the book so far. I am absolutley lost ! I don't know why it is so hard for me to get a grasp on this book, but it is, so i am going to start all over, and read every single page over. I can't tell the truth from a lie, but one thing is for sure, the title of this book is LIAR, it has the right name ! The young lady named Micah has a serious lying problem, and it is so hard to tell if she is lying or telling the truth, because to be honest with you, she is very convincing. So, as i start to read this book over, i will keep in mind that this girl, Micah, is capable of lying without having any thought about what she is saying, only to tell one lie and cover it with another. My next blog will be more detailed about the book, because i will get understanding from what i am reading, i am determined to filter out the truth from the lies. I know this is a good book, everyone who has read it said it is. So, wish me luck as i start over . DETERMINED !!!!!!!!

LIAR BY JUSTINE LARBALESTIER

I am about to begin to read this book LIAR. I am anticipating that this book will be as interesting as the book The Reasons Why, that i just read. I have heard that you have to be focused and uninterrupted to get the full understanding of this book. The young lady it is about is named Micah, and she is a habitual liar, it is hard to tell fiction or non-fiction when she talks . She tries to be very convincing about everything she says, and if you dont watch it, she will convince you. I cant wait to find out how she managed to lie her way through everything for all those years. Did everyone really believe everything she said ? Were people that niave or they just didnt pay attention ? I am really excited about reading this book because i want to see how a person can live a lie for so long and noone pays attention to it. When you tell one lie, you have to tell another one to cover up that one, and then another to cover up that one, and before long , you have woven what people call the web of lies. So as i go on this journey, reading this book, i will keep you posted, honestly, i am telling you the truth. So until next week, let's see what LIAR is really about. I am really anxious to read it, really, i am telling the truth !

THIRTEEN REASONS WHY

Identifying what caused a major change in Hannah Baker is would have to include more than one thing. I think what really helped her to go down hill, was the date with Marcus Cooley at Rosie's Diner. Hannah was willing to trust him, she thought he really liked her. When Marcus tried to feel on Hannah's legs, that really sent her spiraling down. Her trust was broken again. Then after she sat there, after Marcus left, Zach came over, but Hannah was not about to trust another person. After that scene, I think Hannah really needed someone, some encouragement, but instead, she got her notes stollen out of her bag in Peer Communications class. Hannah new that someone, even if only one person, had sent her at least one encouraging word. But now, she would never know, because Zach, was stealing the notes out of her bag. Just one more thing to add to everything else wrong in her life, he took away the one chance that maybe someone it that class could have said to lift her spirits. But lets not forget Ryan Shaver of The Lost and Found Gazette. Remember Ryan stole Hannah's notebook with all of her poetry in it and published her poem " Soul Alone " and everyone in the school had read it . People knew she had written it, but she was not about to let anyone know it was her. There, another reason that caused a major change within Hannah. Each of these situations contributed to the major changes in Hannah Baker, and they each share a quality within themselves, mistrust. I guess i see it as Hannah ended up with noone to turn to, her trust had been violated so many times, that she had noone to turn to. When her visible changes occured, noone noticed, if they did, they did not say anything, so it seemed to Hannah that noone cared, no one. This blog is just in my words, let me know what you think.

THIRTEEN REASONS WHY

I dont know if you want to call this particular incident controversial or not, but during time Hannah was attending Mrs. Bradley's class Peer Communications, she actually dropped o note in her bag about someone possibly thinking about suicide ! How do you send out papers to your students on the warning signs of suicide and don't pay attention to the one's around you ? It was obvious that someone in the class wrote the note , so to not pay attention to your students was a huge over sight by Mrs. Bradley. But that takes me back to my earlier post when Hannah was feeling like noone even notices her so why stay in a world where noone even knows you exist. If you say or print something, then you should live by your own words. Mrs. Bradley passed out those handouts to tell her students what to look for , pertaining to suicide in a individual, but she didnt look for it. I think that helped to push Hannah over the edge . No Mrs. Bradley is not the blame for Hannah's death, but do you see where she fits in with all of this. I am noat taking sides but you do have to be realistic and look at that particular seen, Hannah was sitting right there in her face and even cut her hair, and left note, and not Mrs. Bradley or any of the students in her class noticed her drastic change. That is something to really think about. I am almost finshed with this book, so i will be entering another post soon. I cant wait to find out what the ultimate reason for Hannah committing suicide.

THIRTEEN REASONS WHY

I want to talk about Hannah Baker. I dont know if i would call it praise for what she is doing, but i do like the idea that she is letting her peers know that the things they said or did affected her. Hannah tells us what happened to take her to that point. Her peers said and did awful things. I am reading this book and i am being open minded, meaning im not judging anyone. I definetly don't think Hannana should be criticized, after all, she was the victim. I do not want to sound harsh, but if you read about the things people did to her, she was victimized. The way i see it, Hannah felt she had noone to turn to,everyone she trusted betrayed her trust. She never had a true friend, she really went day-to-day alone. Hannah appeared to have withdrawn into a world of her own, being on the inside , looking out. How does it feel to go around people every day, and noone notices that there is something wrong, your parents don't even notice ? Well' Hannah let's us know how it feels, because this is what happened to her. I guess she felt why should she exist in a world, that doesnt even know she exists. Have you ever felt like that ? I am learning a lot from this story, it has even made me re-live some of my high school days, some very tough days. Again , i won't say i praise Hannah for letting her peers know that they are for the most part the reason for her act, but i am glad she let them know, because maybe they will think twice before they do or say something hurtful to someone else. I can't wait to finish this book, i am so curious to what was the final insult, incident or whatever, that caused Hannah to go through with this.

THIRTEEN REASONS WHY

  1. READING THE AUTHOR'S NOTES AND INTERVIEW, GAVE ME THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE TITLE. JAY ASHER GOT THE IDEA TO WRITE THIS BOOK WHILE AT A MUSEUM . WHILE THERE TAKING A TOUR, EACH VISITOR WAS GIVEN A TAPE RECORDER TO LISTEN TO. WHILE STANDING IN FRONT OF THE DISPLAY, YOU PUSHED PLAY AND THE NARRATOR STARTED TALKING, THAT'S WHERE THE IDEA FOR THE TAPE CASSETTES CAME IN. MR. ASHER HAD A COUSIN, WHO ATTEMPTED SUICIDE, AND WAS THE SAME AGE AS HANNAH, IN HIS BOOK. HE TALKED TO HER ABOUT THE INCIDENT OVER THE YEARS AND SHE COULD NEVER TALK ABOUT ONE SPECIFIC CIRCUMSTANCE WITHOUT TELLING WHAT PRECEDED IT OR FOLLOWED IT. THE CHARACTER'S LAST NAME IS BAKER, AND A BAKERS DOZEN IS THIRTEEN, THE TITLE WAS BAKER'S DOZEN: THE AUDIO BIOGRAPHY OF HANNAH BAKER, WHEN THE BOOK WAS SOLD. I PERSONALLY LIKE THE TITLE "THIRTEEN REASONS WHY " BECAUSE IT MAKES YOU WONDER ABOUT THE REASONS . I'M SURE BY THE TIME I FINISH READING THIS BOOK, IT WILL BE EVERYTHING I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. I LIKE THE IDEAS THE AUTHOR USED, FOR EXAMPLE, THE TOWN, HE PUT AN ILLUSTRATION OF THE TOWN IN THE BOOK. I LIKE TO REALLY GET INTO A BOOK, YOU KNOW , FEEL AS IF I AM REALLY THERE. MR. ASHER HAS MADE THIS POSSIBLE BY THE ILLUSTRATIONS AND THE DESCRIPTIVE DETAILS IN THIS BOOK. I AM BEGINNING TO GET A FEEL FOR THE STORY . WE SHALL SEE IF IT IS AS GOOD AS IT SEEMS.

THIRTEEN REASONS WHY

I AM A LITTLE ANXIOUS TO READ THIS BOOK, BECAUSE I KNOW SOMEONE WHO HAS READ IT, AND THEY SAID IT IS EXCELLENT. I ENJOY READING A GOOD BOOK AND I AM ANTICIPATING THAT THIS BOOK FALLS IN THAT CATERGORY. I WILL KEEP YOU POSTED AS I READ THIS BOOK, HOPING THAT IT MEETS MY EXPECTATIONS. ALSO, I WANTED TO ADD, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD BOOK TO READ (LADIES), READ WAITING TO EXHALE, IT IS BETTER THAN THE MOVIE, EACH CHARACTER IS DIFFERENT. I REALLY LIKED THIS BOOK.

MY FAVORITE READING PLACE IS AT HOME , IN MY BEDROOM, BEFORE I GO TO BED. READING AT NIGHT HELPS TO CALM ME DOWN. I GO TO SCHOOL IN THE MORNING, THEN I GO TO WORK. READING HELPS TO SLOW MY BRAIN DOWN FROM ALL THE ACTIVITY FROM THE DAY. I WORK ON THE CANCER UNIT, SO I CAN HAVE A LOT OF OVERWHELMING DAYS, SO I READ AT NIGHT TO HELP ME SLEEP.
